Cutting Stamp

Am I the only one who seems to have noticed the growing trend in people bragging about this? Seriously, I know most people on the internet are obsessed with inflating their E-penis, but this is just plain idiotic. 90% of the people who claim to be into self mutilation are just liars, but the other 10%... They have some serious issues. "Oh yeah, I'm a danger to myself and chronically depressed. What should I do? OH, I know! Instead of helping myself be happier, I'll brag about it on the internet!"

When, exactly, did this become impressive? Yeah, you know what the next step is in the pattern? Suicide. Suddenly, this has become a case of "DERP DERP IM SO EFFIN HRDCORE" because you're suddenly "serious" about how suckish your life is. No. Just... no.

Edit: I thought I'd add that in no way am I critizing those who actually DO cut themselves and are in counseling, therapy, or something like that. Just those faking it for sympathy, attention, etc.
